Nightshade
Nightshade is a dating circle for adults, run as a sole proprietorship by Nickie Tavares in Honolulu. Creating an account means you agree to these terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Community Guidelines. Last updated October 22, 2026.
Nightshade is only for people who are 18 or older. You confirm that when you create an account and again before the reading. The birth date on the reading is checked on the server. If it says you are under 18, the account does not go further. Saying you are older when you are not is a reason to close the account and keep the email from coming back.
Nightshade is a dating circle. It is not a service for minors, and it does not target children.
You need an account to be in the circle. Sign up with email and a password, or with Google or X. Keep the password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on the account until you tell us it was used without your permission.
The reading, photographs, notes, and purchases stay with the account, so they are there on any phone you sign in with. You can delete the account from the You tab. Deletion is described in the Privacy Policy.
The circle is for meeting adults who practice. It is not a place to harm people. You agree not to:
The Community Guidelines say the same things in plainer words. If they conflict with these terms, these terms control.
You can leave whenever you want. Delete the account from the You tab.
Nightshade can warn you, suspend the account, or ban it, including for a report from another member, a false age, harassment, solicitation, a scam, or explicit content sent without consent. A warning stays on the account until you acknowledge it. A suspension hides you from the circle until it is lifted. A ban closes the account and keeps that email from opening another one.
Block and report are in the app. A block hides both of you from each other. A report does that and sends the reason to the owner to review.
The first note to a person is free. After a match, the conversation is free. Everything else you buy sits on a grid of $3, $6, or $9, or one of those amounts times 3, 6, or 9. The price on the screen before you leave for Stripe is the price of that order.
One-time purchases include:
Circle and Inner Circle are memberships. A month of either renews each month until you cancel from the Stripe receipt. Three months, and six months of Circle, are a single charge for that term. They do not renew by themselves. Inner Circle is the tier that opens quiet hearts, every photograph, a weekly hold, and more unmatched notes. Circle does not open photographs.
Checkout opens on Stripe, on the Nightshade account. Nightshade does not see or store the card number. The order is added to your account only after Stripe says it was paid. A button in the app does not record a payment by itself.
Access starts when Stripe confirms the payment. Write support@nightshadecircle.com to ask for a refund. Say which order, and use the email on the account.
Refunds go back to the original payment method. Stripe and the card network decide how many days that takes. Nightshade does not take a cut of a gathering’s door, and does not refund a host’s own ticket sales.
Charts are an estimate from the birth details you give. They are a matching key, not a reading you can rely on for health, money, or the law. Nightshade does not promise a match, a reply, or that a person is who the profile says. If you meet someone, you do that on your own judgment.
Nightshade is offered as it is. To the extent the law allows, Nickie Tavares is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for what happens when two people choose to meet. If a claim is allowed, the most you can recover is the greater of what you paid Nightshade in the three months before the claim, or nine dollars.
Some places do not allow these limits. Where that is so, they apply only as far as the law allows. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for harm the law does not let a contract waive.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that the state and federal courts in Honolulu, Hawaii, are the exclusive place for a claim, unless a law that cannot be waived says otherwise.
If a court strikes one part of these terms, the rest stays. Nightshade can update these terms by posting a new page. If you keep using the circle after that, the new terms apply. The date at the top is the date of this version.
